If your application is giving you SmartHeap error messages, you should probably contact the software vendor
SmartHeap is used in many software products. If the software you are using generates
SmartHeap error messages, that's pretty good evidence that SmartHeap is used in
the software. But if you are an end user -- rather than a developer -- of the
software, you should probably contact the company that created your application.
Here are some of the reasons why this makes sense:
- SmartHeap error messages are not caused by errors in SmartHeap: rather, they are SmartHeap's attempt to gracefully handle error conditions that arise while the application is executing.
- The vendor is in the best position to know how SmartHeap is configured in their software. Their tech support staff may be aware of the problem, and may know how to reconfigure your software to eliminate it. In the unlikely event that the problem is a bug in SmartHeap, their engineers are in the best position to identify it.
If you're not sure which application is using SmartHeap, please read this.
If for whatever reason the software vendor is unable to help you, contact MicroQuill
tech support and we'll see if there's anything we can do.
Thanks!
